Founded in 1987, Forest Evangelical Lutheran Church emerged from a shared desire among Christians to create a nurturing spiritual community within the forest, serving as a beacon of hope and connection.

Significant Milestones in Our Journey

From our inception to today, From a Double wide Mobile Home to the New Sanctuary, we have had a exciting journey in our community here in the Ocala National Forest just outside Ocala Florida

Year 1987

Established in 1987

Forest Evangelical Lutheran Church was founded by dedicated Christians seeking to build a faith community in the heart of the forest.

Year 1988

Mother-Church Role

In its early years, Forest Lutheran acted as the mother church to Shepherd of the Coast Lutheran Church, sharing leadership and resources to strengthen both congregations.

Year 2007

Community Outreach Programs

Over the years, we initiated numerous outreach programs that have significantly impacted our local community, showcasing our commitment to service.

Year 2015

Energetic Congregation

Our congregation has expanded to include members from various areas of the country, reflecting the intent of our mission and enriching our worship experience.
